Assembly
Fold fabric with the foundation chain meeting the top of the 18th row. Beginning at the bottom right corner join yarn and ch1, single crochet evenly up the side, single crochet across the foundation chain and down the other side. Fasten off and weave in tails.
Sew a decorative button in the center of the front and use the third shell of the middle cluster as the button hole. You may wish to line the bag. If so simply cut a piece of decorative fabric to fit the inside, fold the raw edges under, and whip stitch it onto the stitches all of the way around the lining.
